X5CrNiCuNb16-4Process performance:
Heat treatment:
name | Processing |
ConditionA** | Heat at 1900°F + 25°F for 1/2 hour, air (solution treatment) cool or cool down to below 90°F. It is usually done on a grinder. |
H900
|
Conditions: A material is heated at 900°F + 15°F for 1 hour and cooled by air. Maximum hardness, but lower toughness. Sensitive to stress corrosion cracking. Heating for 4 hours improves toughness and reduces tensile and flexion by about 4 ksi. |
H925, H1025, H1075, H1100, H1150 | Condition: A material is heated at a specific temperature for 4 hours and then cooled by air.。 |
H1150D | Condition A material is heated at 1150°F for 4 hours with air cooling and reheated at 1150°F for another 4 hours with air cooling. |
H1150-M | Condition: A material is heated at 1400°F + 25°F for 2 hours, air cooled, then heated at 1150°F + 15°F for 4 hours, then air-cooled. |
