NS142 Alloy properties:
The alloy has a pure austenite structure under solution conditions. However, at medium aging, carbides and intermetallic compounds can precipitate on austenite matrices and intergranular bodies, and these precipitated phases can impair the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the alloy.
NS142Uses of alloys:
Due to its wide range of corrosion resistance, this alloy is widely used in the chemical processing industry, hot seawater, and hydrometallurgical plants. It is mainly used to treat heat exchangers, pipes, valves, pumps, etc. in hot sulfuric acid, chloride-containing solution, sulfurous acid and other environments. It is also widely used in the field of wood pulp leachers and deep-source gas wells in the paper industry.
NS142Process performance:
Welding process: The usual welding method can be used, and nickel-based welding wire (00Cr22Ni61Mo9Nb) is recommended.
Heat Treatment: A suitable final heat treatment for this alloy is 940°C stable. The intermediate annealing temperature should be higher than 1050°C.
