Hastelloy C-4 Alloy properties:
HuaNickel Hastelloy C-4 alloy exhibits excellent stability at 650-104D°C, improving resistance to intergranular abrasion, avoiding edge erosion, hoe induction, and corrosion in the weld hot scene under proper manufacturing conditions.
Hastelloy C-4 Uses of alloys:
It is mainly used for resistance to inorganic acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, organic acids such as formic acid, chlorine resistance and chlorine-containing media, dry chlorine, seawater, etc. Due to the good resistance of this alloy to intergranular corrosion, pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion, it is often used for local corrosion problems that cannot be solved by other stainless steels and some high-nickel corrosion-resistant alloys. This alloy can be used to make corrosion-resistant pipes, vessels, columns, tanks, reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, etc.
Hastelloy C-4 Process performance:
Welding process:HuaNickel Hastelloy C-4 alloy is more suitable for use in the chemical industry and other industries in the welded state compared to the two Ni-Cr-Mo corrosion resistant alloys mentioned above. HuaNickel Hastelloy C-4 alloy can be welded without any difficulty using common welding methods such as TIG, MIG, manual arc welding, etc. When submerged arc welding is used, care should be taken to prevent overheating, and carbon or silicon is not allowed in the solvent. Acetylene welding is not recommended forHuaNickel Hastelloy C-4 alloys for corrosion-resistant applications.
Heat Treatment: Except as otherwise specified, HuaNickel Hastelloy C-4 alloy is solution treated. This is the only way to make this alloy have the best corrosion resistance and the highest plasticity. The solution treatment temperature is 1040°C and then quenching.
