The HuaNickel GH4080A is based on Ni-Cr and the operating temperature is less than 800°C. The alloy is mainly composed of aluminum and titanium elements to form a γ’phase precipitation strengthening phase. The alloy has good creep resistance and oxidation resistance in the range of 650°C~850°C. The cold and hot working properties of the alloy are good.

GH4080A Alloy properties:

The GH4080A alloy did not precipitate TCP phase after long-term aging at 700°C~850°C for 1000h.

GH4080A Uses of alloys:

HuaNickel  GH4080A alloy is used in the manufacture of rotor blades, guide vane bearings, fan-shaped mounting rings, bolts, blade lock plates and other parts of aero engines. It is also used in the manufacture of fasteners and blades for automobile engines, as well as valves and shafts for trains.

GH4080A Process performance:

Heat treatment: The stamping and forming parts of plates and strips need to be annealed in an intermediate vacuum after each forming time, and the system is 1060 °C± 10 °C, 10 min, and the argon fan is cooled. The final heat treatment of the parts is aged in a vacuum furnace at 750°C±10°C for 4h, and cooled by an argon fan. For the local work hardening of the blade in the manufacturing process after solution (before aging), argon or hydrogen protective surface annealing should be carried out according to the specified requirements, and the annealing temperature should be 1070 °C ~ 1090 °C [5].

Cutting: The alloy has good machinability in a fully heat-treated state.
