BG2830 is an austenitic alloy, and BG2830 alloy is a composite alloy of chromium, molybdenum and copper. Due to the high chromium and molybdenum content in the alloy, especially the Cr≥25%, the corrosion resistance of nitric acid and acid media containing Fe and Cl is particularly excellent. The combination of molybdenum and copper gives this alloy good corrosion resistance in H₂SO₄. This alloy can be widely used in metallurgy, nuclear chemical industry and chemical industry.

BG2830Alloy properties:

When the alloy is aging at 600~1000 °C (as shown in the figure), Mz₃C₆ carbides and σ phases can be precipitated from the austenite, and the precipitate phase type is closely related to the aging Temperature, and the main precipitated phase at 600~800°C is chromium-rich Mz₃C6, and the sigma phase of 800~1000°C aging is dominant. The precipitation of Mz₃C₆ and σ phases has a significant effect on the properties of the alloy, the former promotes the intergranular corrosion of the alloy, and the latter endangers the mechanical properties and process performance of the alloy, so that the strength of the alloy is increased and the toughness is reduced.

BG2830Uses of alloys:

It is mainly used for vessels, pipelines, heat exchangers, reaction towers, pumps, valves, etc., which are resistant to sulfuric acid, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid corrosion, and resistant to acid slurry abrasion.

BG2830Process performance:

Welding process: BG2830 alloy has good weldability, similar to the general austenitic stainless steel, can be welded by common welding methods, the welding material is G817 nickel-based electrode and welding wire, carburization should be avoided during welding, heat input should be reduced under possible conditions, and the welding current should not be too large.

Heat treatment: HuaNickel BG2830 is an austenitic alloy, in order to make it have the best corrosion resistance, good strength and toughness, and cold and hot formability, its use of state should be Solid solution treatment state. The Solid Solution treatment temperature of the alloy is 1050~1150°C, the holding time depends on the cross-sectional size of the product, and the cooling method is water or air cooling. The temperature of the cold process intermediate softening process is the same as that of the solid solution. In order to avoid intergranular corrosion of the alloy, it is not allowed to heat for a long time in the range of 600~800 °C.
