Alloy718Alloy properties:

Corrosion resistance: HuaNickel Alloy718alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to many media. These resistances are similar to those of other nickel-based alloys and are determined by their composition. In addition to being present in a strong oxidizing environment, nickel contributes to the corrosion resistance of many inorganic, organic and mixed acids and bases over a wide pH range. Nickel is also useful for preventing chloride stress corrosion cracking. Chromium gives the alloy the ability to withstand oxidizing media and sulfide attack. Molybdenum is widely recognized for its contribution to pitting resistance in many media.

High Temperature Strength: HuaNickel Alloy718alloy retains high strength and good corrosion resistance in temperatures ranging from 700°C to 2500°F

Alloy718Uses of alloys:

It is widely used in aerospace, petrochemical, electric power and other fields, especially in the occasions that require high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environments.

Alloy718Process performance:

Welding Performance: HuaNickel Alloy718is capable of welding using the Tigon Arc Welding (TIG) process using Alloy718wire. The slow response of the 718 to age hardening allows the component to be welded and then aged hardened without any intermediate stress relief.

Heat treatment:

(1) Solution annealing at 1700-1850°F followed by rapid cooling (usually with water), plus precipitation hardening at 1325°F for 8 hours, furnace cooling to 1150°F, total aging time at 1150°F to 18 hours and then air cooling.

(2) Solution annealing at 1900-1950°F followed by rapid cooling (usually in water), plus precipitation hardening at 1400°F for 10 hours, air cooling to 1200°F and holding to a total aging time of 20 hours then air cooling.
