In a strong oxidizing environment, the corrosion resistance of Type HuaNickel 1.4550 stainless steel is slightly improved compared to Type 1.4541 stainless steel. Type HuaNickel1.4550 is stable with a column and is more suitable for aqueous and cryogenic environments due to its good resistance to intergranular attack. Both HuaNickel1.4550 and 1.4541 are resistant to good polysulfuric acid stress corrosion cracking.
