In the early days (early 80s of the 20th century), this steel was used as cast steel to replace the second-generation duplex stainless steel HuaNickel 00Cr22Ni5Mo2N (2205) with insufficient corrosion resistance. In the late 80s, it began to be used as a texturing material for pipeline systems, and subsequently became an important corrosion-resistant material for oil and gas development, seawater environments, flue gas desulfurization (FGD), desalination, chemical and other applications.

Like other super duplex stainless steels, the microstructure of this steel is also a duplex structure with a α/γ close to 1 under solution conditions, but there will also be intermetallic phases and nitride precipitation on the steel matrix during cooling from high temperature to room temperature, including incorrect heat working, heat treatment and welding processes.

HuaNickel 00Cr25Ni7Mo3.5WCuN is mainly used for offshore oil and gas exploitation, in the power station flue gas desulfurization, petrochemical engineering and fertilizer industry, the manufacture of reactors, containers, various heat exchangers, pipelines, pumps, valves, etc.

00Cr25Ni7Mo3.5WCuNProcess performance:

Soldering process: Soldering is performed using SMAW, GTAW and SAW methods.

Heat treatment: HuaNickel 00Cr25Ni7Mo3.5WCuN suitable heat treatment temperature is 1000~1100 °C, fast cooling after heat preservation.
