HuaNickel NIROSTA  is a high-strength and corrosion-resistant super austenitic stainless steel. Its tensile strength and yield strength can reach ≥800MPa and ≥ 420MPa, respectively; With a PE value of ≥50, it has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments, such as seawater.

NIROSTA Alloy properties:

This steel has the same single austenitic structure as other super austenitic stainless steels in the solid solution state, and carbides and intermetallic phases will also precipitate on the matrix when the heat working, heat treatment, welding and other processes are improper. However, because the nitrogen content of this steel is as high as 0.5%, it can significantly delay the precipitation of intermetallic phases in aged (sensitized) steels, so when the production and use process of this steel is appropriate, the plasticity, toughness and corrosion resistance of this steel will not be adversely affected.

NIROSTA Uses of alloys:

Mainly used in the chemical and paper industries, the steel is particularly suitable for use in flue gas desulfurization units (FGD), seawater desalination units, as well as onshore and offshore oil and gas production and transmission units and pipelines due to its excellent corrosion resistance.

NIROSTA Process performance:

Welding process: This steel is weldable and can be welded using the common method of austenitic stainless steels, but the GTAM process is recommended.

Heat treatment: The heat treatment process of HuaNickel NIROSTA  steel is heated at ≥1100 °C, and it is quickly cooled after heat preservation. It is recommended to use 1120~1170°C heating, water cooling process after heat preservation.
